Pepper Spray can be a good means of self-defense. It can be used a deterrent and can possibly disable an attacker temporarily if administered properly. Is this good enough?

Scenario - You're in a parking garage late and night. You get startled as someone comes around the corner and is walking your direction. You walk to the other side of the garage and notice you are being followed. He keeps coming closer and closer, inside that range of comfort, 15 feet. What do you do?

Pepper spray can only help you if you let the person come closer. But what if there is a cross-wind? What if the person closes their eyes when you are about to spray them? A TASER C2 ECD gives you 30 seconds of incapacitation power (read: knock them down for 30 thirty seconds) from a distance of up to 15 feet. This means you can protect yourself from a distance AND have time to get away.

Is a C2 a Stun Gun?

No, it is different. A stun gun generally relies on brute force or sheer power. Instead, the C2 pulsed output is really an elegant approach to incapacitating violent persons. The C2 pulses mimic the electrical signals used within the human body to communicate between the brain and the muscles. The C2 simulates the pulsed communications used within the nerves, and interferes with communication – like static on the telephone lines within the body.

The probes deployed from a TASER ECD carry fine wires that connect to the target and deliver the TASER into his neural network. These pulses delivered by the TASER ECD overwhelm the normal nerve traffic, causing involuntary muscle contractions and impairment of motor skills.
