TASER XREP® Cartridge

Wireless Extended Range Out to 100 Feet

The TASER eXtended Range Electronic Projectile (XREP®) cartridge is the most technologically advanced projectile ever deployed from a 12-gauge shotgun.

How It Works:

The nose assembly of the XREP projectile contains four forward facing barbed electrodes that attach to the body upon impact. The energy from the impact breaks a series of fracture pins that release the main chassis of the XREP round which remains connected to the nose by a nonconductive tether. The XREP shotgun shell autonomously generates NMI for 20 continuous seconds. As the chassis falls away, six Cholla electrodes automatically deploy to deliver the NMI effect over a greater body mass. Upon completion of the 20-second cycle, the XREP shuts down and can be safely removed after the apprehension has occured.

There are many benefits to this unique shotgun shell based platform:

Long Range

The XREP wirelessly delivers a unique Neuro Muscular Incapacitation (NMI) bio-effect and can be delivered to a maximum effective range of 100 feet (30.48 meters).

Versatility

The TASER XREP is optimized for the TASER X12™ shotgun by Mossberg® but can be fired from any 12-gauge pump-action shotgun.

Self Contained

A battery supply is fully integrated into the chassis and provides the power to drive the XREP projectile engine. The worlds first wireless TASER Electronic Control Device

Features

TASER XREP

The XREP has hinged fins that extend upon release from the barrel providing stabilization during flight. The XREP universal shell casing has a recessed ring, optimally designed for use in any standard 12-gauge pump-action shotgun.

Neuro Muscular Incapacitation (NMI)

The key technology to disable even the most aggressive subjects, NMI temporarily overrides the command and control systems of the body to impair muscular control.

XREP Engine

The proprietary electronics package generates the highly refined NMI waveform that incapacitates the subject. Includes the electronic circuitry and on-board battery system.

Conductive Hand Trap Wire

Connects the TASER XREP Engine to the Frontal Probes. The insulated wire is wound with conductive wire.

Cholla Electrodes

Electrodes attached to the chassis of the TASER XREP. The Cholla Electrodes are constrained beneath the sheath during flight, extend after impact and are conductive.
