TASER Instructor Course - Online Component
TASER International has partnered with the Northeast Wisconsin Technical College (NWTC) to provide an online learning opportunity for new and re-certifying TASER Instructors. The TASER Instructor Course will include an online component that must be completed before attending two days of instruction with a TASER Master Instructor. This format will provide an accelerated learning opportunity for re-certifying Instructors and will allow new Instructors more time to absorb the technical material. The 16 hours in classroom with the Master Instructor will focus on practical application and device manipulation skills. This is considered a 24 hour course with the first 8 hours completed online.
There will now be one flat fee of $395 per person. This includes NWTC enrollment fees and all applicable taxes. Instructor certification is valid for two years.
In order to register for a course, please go to the Training Events page by clicking HERE. (Registration closes 15 days in advance of the practical session.) Please click on the state you are interested in, and when you find a class you are able to attend, click on that particular class. The site will then open with all class information. You will need to click on the registration link, and it will automatically take you to our online affiliate, NWTC.
If you have never registered on their site, you will have to "Create New Agency". You will need to enter information required by TASER International and NWTC and will also need to enter payment information such as a credit card or purchase order number.
Once registered, you will receive an email with your log-in identification number and password. The online portion of the course will be available approximately three weeks before the practical session. You will be reminded via email to take the online class. This will need to be completed one week prior to the hands-on, classroom portion of the course. Walk-ins will NOT be accepted.
